Dr. Mayra Jackson considers herself a Dallas native, although born in Mexico, her family emigrated here when she was a toddler. From a young age, she knew she wanted to be a dentist and enrolled in dental summer programs at Baylor College of Dentistry from high school and all through college. She attended East Texas A&M University (formerly A&M-Commerce) for her undergraduate degree, where she met her husband, Jesse. And she completed her dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry here in Dallas.

Outside of the office, Dr. Jackson and her husband can be spotted on the Katy Trail, or hosting numerous neighborhood events, as they are the social chairs of their block. They support local art and galleries around town and are active members of the events coordinating committee of The Dallas Opera Crescrendo program.

In her free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys cooking elaborate meals and teaching others about Mexican cuisine — she even hosted a Tamales & Tequila course at the Thompson Hotel this December! Giving back to her community has always been important to Dr. Jackson, and she has spent many years volunteering with Texas Missions of Mercy and donating her time and dental skills at the Watermark Urgent Care Clinic.
