Dr. Austin Green was born in Costa Rica to missionary parents and spent much of his childhood between Costa Rica and the United States. He attended Covenant College in Georgia before earning his dental degree from Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) in Costa Rica in 2013. After graduation, he worked in private practice before moving to the United States and pursuing his passion for prosthodontics.
Dr. Green’s interest in prosthodontics began long before residency. Even in dental school, he could often be found in the laboratory working on his own cases or helping classmates with theirs. He has always enjoyed the combination of science, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and teaching others. This passion led him to the University of Iowa, where he completed his prosthodontic residency in 2026. During his residency he was recognized with multiple awards for clinical and academic excellence and had the opportunity to teach and mentor the dental students (which he loves doing).
Dr. Green chose prosthodontics because he enjoys looking beyond an individual tooth or isolated problem and understanding the bigger picture. While many dental concerns can be treated individually, some patients benefit from a comprehensive approach that considers how their teeth, bite, esthetics, comfort, and overall oral health work together. As a prosthodontist, he works with patients, dentists, and dental specialists to develop coordinated treatment plans, addressing problems when they arise while also looking for ways to prevent future problems. His goal is to help patients regain comfortable function and natural-looking esthetics while creating a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.
Dr. Green and his wife, whom he met in dental school, recently welcomed their first child, a son. After several years away from Texas, they were excited to return to Dallas to be closer to family. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Green enjoys spending time with his family, biking, camping, cooking and grilling, being around the water, hosting friends, and staying active in his church. Having grown up between Costa Rica and the United States, he is fluent in both English and Spanish.
